He Gives Me Fever by India T. Norfleet

He Gives Me Fever

Lillian Michaels hasn't been in a serious relationship since her Michigan State days six years ago, and all the meaningless encounters since have only encouraged her to keep her single status as well as a fully-stocked supply of Duracell batteries. But all that changes when she meets Officer Collin Wright. She quickly finds out that he is the only man that can quench her thirst and give her fever like nobody's business. For a while, that's all Lillian cares about until she falls hard for him and finds herself having to choose between her hatred for the badge he wears to protect and serve and true love...

After receiving a Dear John letter from his now ex-wife, Officer Collin Wright doesn't want anything to do with another woman unless it’s to talk about how quickly she can undress, please him, and then disappear. But when he meets Lillian Michaels, he quickly discovers that he could have a million one night stands with Lillian and still never get enough of the woman she is. So he sets out to make sure that after all the cat and mouse is done, Lillian not only ends up naked in his bed, but also fully clothed in his heart...

Read an excerpt:

In the thunder and rain, you stare into my eyes I can feel your hand, movin’ up my thighs Skirt around my waist, wall against my face I can feel your lips…”
Janet Jackson seductively flowed through Lillian's room from her Bose speaker system atop her cherry oak armoire. She sat at the bottom of her king-sized bed, lotioning her body and watching the heavy rain fall from the open doors of her balcony.
There was just something about the rain and a slow jam from the nineties that relaxed her body and really put her in the mood. She welcomed the relaxing state, but she despised the thirsty way her body begged to be caressed and kissed, especially when she didn't have a man to quench that thirst.

After recapping the almost empty bottle of Jergens shea butter lotion, Lillian sighed, lit her Gifts from a Virgo sugar-scented candles that sat on either side of her radio, and went to close her balcony doors. Suddenly, she felt the presence of someone standing behind her. Slowly, she turned around and saw a 6’5” tall man with a goatee and a chiseled body. He had a smile so bright and sexy that panties dissolved in his presence.

He stood leaning just inside of her bedroom door with his arms crossed over his massive chest and one muscular leg propped in front of the other. Lillian stood there wondering if he could tell that she had no panties on under her hot pink baby doll nightie instead of wondering how this man got into her home in the first place.

“Hello, beautiful.”
“H-hi.”
“You're looking exceptionally sexy tonight.”
“Thank you.”
“Do your panties match your nightgown?”
“No, not today.”
“Oh, okay. Well, what color are they?”
“I'm not wearing any?”
“Oh.” He shifted his stance to hide the growing bulge in his in his boxer shorts. “Show me.” Lillian slowly slid up her nightie, just enough for her second set of lips began to peek through, then quickly let the dress fall back into place.

“So you're going to play with my emotions, huh?” he asked as he pushed off the door frame. He walked over to the recliner that sat by the door and took a seat.

“Excuse me? I'm not playing with anything.”
“You could be, and so could I. Come here.”
Unknowingly, Lillian stayed on the same beat as the music as she crossed her room to the man who had just materialized into her home.
“Stop. That’s good right there.” Lillian stopped just a few feet away from where he sat.
“Now, take that thing off… slowly.” Lillian did as she was told.

It didn't take long at all for her to slip the straps from her shoulders and shimmy out of the thin satin material. She now stood before him completely nude. Standing, he walked over to Lillian and gently caressed her nipples with his strong, rough hands while placing kisses down her neck and across her collarbone.

“Damn, woman, you smell so good.” “I know.”
“Do you taste as good as you smell?”
“You tell me.”
“You’re right. Come sit on my face and let me see for myself.”

Lillian jerked awake in her king-sized bed. Quickly, she looked around her room then tossed back her covers to see if she was nude.

“Damn, it was just a dream. Lillian, it was just a dream, girl,” she said as she fell back into her pillow and exhaled. “What in the hell was that about? And what was Officer Wright doing in my dream, telling me to sit on his face?”

Pandora's Box by Kasi Blake

Pandora's Box

This romance suspense thriller was written by former Harlequin author Kasi Blake, author of books such as Would-Be Wife and Borrowed Identity. Get ready for a mystery that will keep you guessing to the very end.

Caught between two powerful men.

Madison Grey has to choose, but now is not the time to work out her love life. Her duty-to-country father tried to assassinate the president, and Madison needs to know why, especially since everyone is looking at her like she's a traitor. Her father's final words take her on a dangerous, twisted path to the truth. Some secrets are better left buried.

Along with Navy SEAL Tyler Law and her ex boyfriend who also happens to be her boss, she will risk it all to find out the truth. And in the end she will have to risk her heart or lose everything.

This book has it all: mystery, suspense, romance, and a hot alpha male.

Read an excerpt:
“Kiss me,” Tyler said.
“What?” Had she heard him right?
“Kiss me like you haven’t seen me in months.”
Tyler’s mouth covered hers, parting her lips with ease. His hands continued to cover both sides of her face. In a strategic move he insinuated himself between her and the wall and turned her head in his direction. If the men glanced their way, they would only see a redhead kissing her lover.
She forgot why they were kissing.
He deepened the kiss until she couldn’t breathe or think. He wiped her mind clean with his skill. Their bodies turned to molten desire, fusing them together. It wouldn’t be possible for them to get closer, not with clothes on. His hands roughly moved down the arch of her back, molding every curve and his tongue darted between her parted lips, sending a shockwave of emotion throughout her entire body.
Oh she wanted more.
An electric current pulsed from head to toe, tingling, transforming her idea of what a kiss could be. She pushed against him with her mouth and tugged at him with her hands, craving harder, deeper, longer. The men in suits were forgotten in a blissful moment of shared heat.

If this was the way he kissed a woman after a short separation, his future wife would need to travel frequently.
Tyler tore his mouth free. They both gasped for needed oxygen. Her hands continued to cling to his powerful arms. She couldn’t let go if her life depended on it. Her legs felt weak and her head spun in dizzy, crazy circles. This couldn’t be happening to her. Madison Grey did not shiver or shake for any man.

“There’s another one headed this way,” he said. “We can’t fool them forever. We need disguises quick.”
Madison bit the inside of her lower lip, still numb from the kiss, and forced her mind back into professional mode. Her father had almost killed the president and there were people who believed that meant she was a traitor, too. Only cold hard evidence would change their minds.

Meet Dottie Wilson, author of Chosen: A Club Crimson Novel

A couple of weeks ago, you were introduced to Chosen, a Club Crimson novel. Now meet the woman behind the magic.

Chosen

Skye:

I thought knew what guys like Gus were like: rich, arrogant womanisers. Not. My. Type. Then again, I also thought he was human. Even when I knew what he was, I still couldn't resist him, as hard as that was to admit. Little did I realise that the vampire billionaire could soothe my soul and liberate both my mind and my body... if he didn't break my heart first. Cora had her own plans for me too.

What would be worse: Gus breaking my already fragile heart or Cora fulfilling her promise to kill me?

Club Crimson: Chosen is a standalone novel with a Happy Ever After to melt your kindle and your heart. No cliff hangers and no cheating.

If you love your vampires hot, your shifters loyal, and enjoy covens and conspiracy... especially when it's all wrapped up in steamy paranormal romance, then you've got to read Chosen.

***This is a hot paranormal romance that contains mature themes and language.***

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dottie, thank you so much for taking time to chat with us today. What was the inspiration behind this book?
The inspiration behind Chosen and the rest of the Club Crimson series has come from two very different places: my love of vampire stories and my Northern Irish culture. I love the idea that in between all the Irish stories that there’s a vampire or a shifter pulling strings.
To which character did you relate the most?
Skye was the main character and she really got into my head. I felt bad putting her through everything she had to face, but she came out the other side and was still standing. Having had difficult times in the past myself (and who hasn’t) I could relate to her wanting to keep her independence and sort her problems out by herself.
Also, I really liked Dianne, which was a surprise even for me as I wrote the book. She’s a bit of a maverick but welcomed Skye and supported her unquestionably. She has her own story to tell and I hope I can do it justice.
What is one of your favorite scenes?
Hmm… that’s a tricky one! I suppose the “foot rub” scene is one of my favourites – I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it!
Will we see these characters again?
Oh yes! Chosen is the first in the Club Crimson series. Each book is completely standalone but the characters will play their part in the other books.
Tell us more about the Club Crimson series.
Club Crimson is the new club that Augustus (Gus) has opened. He’s a billionaire vampire who can read auras and has used that talent to make some savvy business deals in the past. Although this isn’t the first club he’s opened, it’s the first one since he decided to move back to Northern Ireland, where he was born and where he was turned into a vampire in the Seventeenth Century. There’s a reason he’s decided it’s time to move back to Londonderry – he needs to exorcize his own demons. He didn’t come back alone; he’s brought The Pack with him. Having saved Andy’s life years ago, the shifter dedicated his life to serving Gus. Andy’s the leader of the group of Irish Wolfhound shifters. Cora, who was turned by the same vampire as Gus, has also come to Northern Ireland, her reasons for staying around aren’t so pure.
The paranormal romance series is about their lives and the humans that live amongst them.
Loyalty is becoming a common element to point out in book descriptions. Why is this so important?
Loyalty has always been something that’s important to me in my own life and relationships, so much so that I knew that it simply would be a major element in the stories I write. It’s not something that I deliberately chose to draw attention to in my book description because I think it is part of the deal in love and romance. How can two people truly love each other and not be loyal to each other? The real problem comes when the loyalty to your love and to your family pull two different ways.
What is it that you think draws authors to creating steamy paranormal novels?
Well, personally it’s because they’re the exact type of books I like to read! When I’m not spending quality time with my husband, I love nothing better than curling up on my sofa with a dog or two (there’s always at least one of them looking to snuggle) and delving in to a steamy paranormal romance.
What is it that you think draws readers to vampires, billionaires, and other such aspects of this book?
Vampires don’t grow old, billionaires don’t have to work for a living, and when they do it is usually doing something they actually like doing. It’s like they’re adult versions of Peter Pan, never worrying about ageing, having to buy groceries, worry about bills or doing work they hate, in fact they get to spend their time doing exactly as they please. How awesome would that be? Honestly, I think what draws readers to rich vampires is the way that you are transported to an immortal world. At least that’s what writing Chosen did for me.
The market is filled with paranormal and billionaire romances. What makes yours stand out?
I’ve tried to put my characters and their emotions on display: “warts and all”. I’ve read enough paranormal romances that gave great descriptions of the wealth and affluence but as I reader I wanted to understand what the characters felt for each other and how – even against the odds – they can find a way to love.
What other kinds of writing have you done?
As a child I was really into music and wrote a lot of little songs for myself, as well as inventing stories in my head. I was an only child so I had to keep myself entertained some way! In recent years I started by writing a lot of shorts which I didn’t release, I was shy to tell my friends and family about my hobby… especially the steamier ones! Chosen is the first full length novel I’ve written.
If you weren't writing, what would you be doing?
I would love to be writing/performing music, or maybe teaching music. I’m a classically trained pianist and when I was at college I used to teach some kids in my spare time. It was very rewarding, but writing lets me unleash my creativity in a more satisfying way.
Who or what inspires you the most as a writer?
Ironically, my husband. I say ironically as he doesn’t write (well, he can of course, but he’s not a writer per se). He can’t quite believe that I have actually published a novel. When I first told him that I wanted to write he thought I was going a little crazy… but he supported me regardless. He’ll come out with thoughts or say something in conversation and I’ll think, “I can imagine someone saying that in one of my stories.” And suddenly I have worked out a plot hole or a new twist to a story.
What is some of the best writing advice you have ever received?
“Put your arse in the chair every day and get writing.” As simple (or complex) as that. Bad day? Write. Good day? Write. Tired? Write. Energised? Write more.
What words of wisdom do you have for aspiring writers?
Just write it and press PUBLISH. You’ll learn from writing, yes, but until you release your story to the world you’ll never get the same chance to develop as a writer. Don’t take bad reviews personally… at least try not to.
What are you reading? What is on your TBR?
I’ve recently read Crow (Boston Underworld Book 1); it’s not PNR but a Bad Boy Irish mafia romance. Absolutely loved it.
I’m currently reading Stone Bear: Phoenix by Amelia Jade. Whew, it’s hot ;)
I can’t wait for J. R. Ward’s The Beast. I love, love, love the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I am a huge J. R. Ward fan girl.
What is something from your bucket list that you would be willing to share with us?
To spend a month in Lanzarote with my husband and write a sizzling summer romance, using the scenery and our own adventures to inspire the story.
You live in Northern Ireland, a place I would love to visit one day. What are some must-see places for visitors to go?
Two places:
Londonderry – the setting for Chosen. The city’s walls are the only ones in Europe never to have been breached, hence the affection name of “The Maiden City” the history is amazing. The landscape around the city is beautiful and the people are more than friendly. But be warned: the sense of humour is very, very dry!
The Giant’s Causeway – our very own natural wonder of the world. It’s also going to feature in the Club Crimson series.
Where do you like to travel?
Everywhere I can. My last long haul was to Mexico. I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled many places over Europe. I’ve never been to America (yet) but I would love to travel my way around America.
What is something readers may be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a bit of a closet adrenalin junkie. Every now and then I enjoy doing things that scare me.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The next novel in the Club Crimson series will be due for release in late Summer 2016.
And we will be looking forward to it! Thank you so much for your time!
Love and Wargames: A Bad Boy Hacker Romance (Snake Eyes Book 3) by Tabatha Kiss
Love and Wargames
BOXCAR
We got married two years ago.
I haven’t seen her since.
We met in Afghanistan. She was a soldier. I was a geek with a laptop.
I never thought I stood a chance but a few secret trysts together proved otherwise.
Tragedy struck and it tore us apart but I never stopped loving her.
Now, Snake Eyes is looking for me and they sent two of their best assassins to track me down.
There’s only one person I can trust to keep me safe and she hates my guts.
Caleb Fawn. My estranged wife.
This should be fun.
CALEB
I don’t believe in second chances.
But this is Boxcar we’re talking about here.
We met in Afghanistan. He was a smart-ass. I was his bodyguard.
I wanted to keep it professional but just one look in his eyes was enough to melt my damn panties off.
It couldn’t last. Being a soldier comes with a price and I wasn’t about to let him pay it.
Now, Snake Eyes wants what he’s got and they’ll get it unless I help him.
The only problem is that the two of us can’t be in the same room together without screaming at each other or tearing our clothes off. Sometimes both.
Boxcar. My idiot husband.
This should be a disaster.
