Review of 'Kissing Eden' by T.A. Foster

KISSING EDEN Synopsis:

Have you ever thought of taking a vacation alone? I mean step on a plane, check into your hotel, and lie on the beach completely and utterly alone. No? Me either, but then right before senior spring break I got dumped.

Something about break ups makes you do things you didn’t want to do, and try things you didn’t know you were capable of.

That’s how I ended up at the Palm Palace.

That’s how I met Grey.

That’s how my spring break turned into the most unforgettable week of my life.

**My thoughts**

Vacationing by yourself isn't an easy thing to do. It's especially difficult when your boyfriend dumps you right before your huge spring break trip and then steals your hotel room from under you, so that he can shack up with his latest hook-up. Eden has some amazing inner strength to deal with that and everything else that the Universe throws her way as she heads down to South Padre. Not many girls would be able to handle themselves with such poise and determination. I don't think she ever realized how strong she actually was, until she was thrust into this position. She also seems to have a bit of a hair trigger where men are concerned, which is understandable to an extent. Sometimes, I did want to just poke her or elbow her really hard for her outbursts. (That being said, I probably would have reacted almost the same way in those situations.)

Grey is kind of a mess. He is grumpy, stubborn, and angry at life. He also has a strong sense of determination, which has been helping him inch his way along in the motel business, but is also preventing him from being a complete success. He runs a bit hot and cold and is also deserving of a strong elbow or shove at times.

Both of them are in a rebound situation, which makes it tough to think that their mutual attraction can be real. Usually that rebound fling is highly intense and very short-lived. These two are definitely hurting, which somehow makes them complement each other. Their personalities mesh together, causing each to challenge the other one to be a better person. They are able to help improve each other, which is an important part of being a couple. And of course, they are smoking hot together in the bedroom.

The other characters in this book are quite fun. Eden is very lucky to be able to make such good friends, such as Marin, so quickly. I would love to read some more about them and their relationships!

I liked reading this book. I like T.A. Foster's style and voice in her new adult contemporary romances. I didn't like this one quite as much as London Falling, but I still recommend it for those looking for a steamy spring break escape or fun beach read!

T.A. Foster's Bio:

T.A. Foster once spent a monthlong spring break on South Padre Island, where she soaked in the Texas sun, beach, and learned what real Texas country music is. Sometimes fiction does spring from reality.

She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband, two children, and two canine kiddos.

T.A. has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. When she’s not chasing her two-legged and four-legged children or trying to escape for date night, you can find her reading, writing, or planning her next beach trip.
