Launch - Note from the Author

Hi. :-) Thank you for joining me with the launch for the third and final book in the Greek Island Brides trilogy ~ WEARING THE GREEK MILLIONAIRE’S RING.

Starting over can be one of the hardest things in life. Routines are comfortable. A set goal is reassuring. But when it’s all ripped away. What do you do? . . .

“What am I supposed to do with this?”

Stasia held up a cruise ship ticket while sending her big brother a puzzled look. She didn’t have time for a vacation. Now that she was on her own, with no husband and no other family besides Xander, who now had a wife and baby, she needed to pull herself together and carve out a life for herself. That had to be her priority. As it was, she’d put it off for too long.

“Use the ticket and go on vacation.” Xander frowned at her as though he was concerned about her.

Hallie Reads - Review

"Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring is a sweet story, featuring a trope I always love, so of course, I enjoyed this third addition to the Greek Island Brides series. Contemporary romance readers in need of a quick, fun story, check this one out."

She glanced down at her now bare finger.

She was on her own. Each step had taken time. Some steps were big and some were tiny. Each of them had pulled on her heartstrings.

“I… I worry about you.” Xander’s voice cut through her thoughts.

“I know you do.” And she knew it wasn’t easy for him to admit it. Xander had always held his feelings close to his chest. “And I appreciate it. But it’s okay. I’m okay.”

And then a movement out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. It was a tall man with dark hair. Though she could only see the back of him, there was something familiar about the way he held himself and the way he moved with sure, steady strides.

She told herself she shouldn’t stare even if it was from across the deck, but she couldn’t turn away. Or maybe she was using this distraction to keep from thinking about what her brother was saying. Did Xander really think she was incapable of caring for herself?

She knew then and there that she had to prove to him—to herself—that she could stand firmly on her own two feet. She’d thought she’d been doing that ever since Lukos passed, but it seemed that wasn’t so clear to everyone. She promised herself that by the time the cruise ended, she would have a firm life plan for herself.

Jypsylynn - Review

"Wearing The Greek Millionaire's Ring is a happy and sad story of fake love turning into something real. . . . This is a charming story with warm hearted characters, lovely descriptions and fun. I read it fairly quickly. This is a good light read that will make you smile. . ."

Wishful Endings - Excerpt

Yaya arched a penciled brow. “Don’t hide in some corner. Or worse, go to your cabin to work. This is a vacation. Look at all these lovely ladies. I’m sure you’ll find someone to spend your time with.”

While wearing a forced smile, he inwardly groaned. He was in so much trouble. They’d just pulled out of the dock and they were to be at sea for two weeks—two weeks of matchmaking torture.

“Yaya, I’m fine. I don’t need to find someone to spend time with.”

Roberto was on his way to an open table off to the side when he spotted her again. This time he was certain he knew her. It was Stasia Marinakos. No other woman carried herself quite like she did, with her slender shoulders pulled back, her head held high and a warm smile on her face. How she could smile after all that she’d been through was beyond him. But she hadn’t lost her zest for life. And he applauded her.

“Stasia?” he called out. When she paused and looked around, he called out to her again.

At last, their gazes met. Her big brown eyes widened. He waved her over to join him at the empty table. It took her a moment or two to work her way through the crowd of people all eager to enjoy the morning sun.

"Two years after her husband's death, Stasia Marinakos is trying to learn to enjoy life again. . . The novel was a quick and light-hearted beach read. . . . Overall, it was an enjoyable book for a quiet afternoon."

E-Romance News - Excerpt

Roberto glanced away. Under her gaze, he felt exposed and vulnerable. That was a first for him. He’d sat through a lot of tense meetings with some of the toughest businessmen. They’d all sized each other up for the other’s weakness, but none had made him feel like an open book.

He cleared his throat. “Actually, I’m here at my grandmother’s request.”

The twinkle of surprise showed in Stasia’s eyes. “Your grandmother is on the ship?”

He nodded. “So are a number of my family members.”

“That must be so nice.”

He remained quiet. He knew Stasia only had her brother these days. She didn’t know what it was like to have a bunch of well-meaning but intrusive family members delving into her personal life.

Onemused - Review

"WEARING THE GREEK MILLIONAIRE'S RING is a fake-relationship-turned-real story set on a Mediterranean cruise. . . . The characters were really fun in this, and the meddling family was an added bonus that adds some extra life into this romance. A quick read, this is a great beachy book with light-hearted fun and a sweet couple. Highly recommend for people who like fake relationship romances."

Harlie's Books - Excerpt & Review

He was about to take a drink when he noticed she didn’t have anything in front of her. “Can I get you anything to drink or eat?”

“Actually, yes. I’d love an espresso. I need the caffeine.”

It was only then that he noticed the shadows beneath her eyes. They were faint, as though they were covered up, and you wouldn’t even notice them unless you were looking for them. Something was keeping her up at night. And then he realized what it might be. She was still grieving for her husband. Sympathy welled up in him.

“I’ll be right back with caffeine.” He got to his feet and walked away.

"This friends to lovers book was spot on. Ms. Faye wrote a slow-paced, sweet romance about moving on and finding yourself separate from the death of a spouse. It is about loss and dealing with moving on but remembering, too. Roberto and Stasia romance is the perfect bookend for the series. I’m so happy that I rediscovered the Harlequin Romance line. Ms. Faye is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read what she writes next."

Had that just happened?

Stasia resisted the urge to touch her cheek where just moments ago Roberto’s lips had been. They’d known each other for years, but they’d never shared a hug, much less a kiss. Usually, it was a passing hello or a nod of recognition.

And it wasn’t like he was the first man to kiss her cheek. Why was she letting it get to her like this? When he’d kissed her, her heart had pounded, her mouth had gone dry and her palms had dampened. Sheesh! She really needed to get out more.

She assured herself that it was just the shock of Roberto acting like her significant other. It had caught her completely off guard. Everything would be fine now.

"I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the setting of the book, where they are on a cruise. . . . I loved how instead of chapters there is Day one, Day two, etc. It was interesting to know which day of the cruise they were on."

“Hey, Stasia.”

She turned.

Roberto rushed to catch up with her. “Did you make plans for dinner?”

Her forehead scrunched up. “Is this something I should check on my app?”

He chuckled. “I meant to say, do you want to have dinner with me? But if you don’t want to or you have other plans, that’s fine—”

“No. I mean no, I don’t have other plans, and yes, I’d enjoy having dinner with you.”

"Jennifer Faye does it again in her third installment from her Greek Island Brides series. . . I give Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring a well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend this book, as well as, the others of the Greek Island Brides series for readers who enjoy sweet, romantic and clean reads."

Readeropolis - Excerpt

“What just happened?” Stasia’s eyes reflected her confusion.

“That was my cousin. She’s kind of like a force of nature.”

“But she thinks you and I...that we’re a couple. Why didn’t you correct her?”

He smiled. “Because she wouldn’t care what I said. She likes to come to her own conclusions. She’s a lot like our grandmother. She’ll figure out the truth eventually.”

"Oh wow, what can I say about this amazing book! A truly stunning tale of such deep love and passion and so very sweet! I absolutely loved it! . . . This was such a well-written book, the characters are fully and well-developed and there are many twists and turns . . . If you love a sweet romance, then you are going to love this book!"

Jorie Loves A Story - Spotlight

"I loved it and I even snickered in some places of the book. It's truly delightful!! . . . Jennifer has done a fabulous job with writing this story. I love when an author can make me feel like I'm part of a book.

I strongly truth this book! You won't regret it!!"

"I love the way that the chapters were days and places where the cruise took them. I thought that was pretty cool and very unique. Loving the way that Stasia and Roberto got “together.” . . . Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring by Jennifer Faye is a fantastic end to a wonderful trilogy. . . . I am giving Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring by Jennifer Faye, a five-star rating and recommending it to all romance readers out there."

Book Tour Grand Finale for
Single Dad to the Rescue
By Cari Lynn Webb

We hope you enjoyed the tour! If you missed any of the stops

Launch - Note from the Author

Welcome to my blog tour with Prism!

I’m thrilled to be celebrating the release of my new book, Single Dad to the Rescue, in my City by the Bay Stories with Harlequin Heartwarming. Single Dad to the Rescue is a sweet contemporary romance that brings together animal rescuer, Brooke Ellis, and paramedic, Dan Sawyer. . .

"A Single Dad to the Rescue is – true to its imprint – heartwarming and sweet. It’s the kind of story that leaves you sighing contentedly after you turn the last page, the kind that shows you that good-hearted people who put others first do still exist, the kind that reminds you that second chances sometimes show up when – and with whom – we least expect. The characters are equal parts layered, real, and compelling, and you’ll enjoy revisiting friends from previous books in the series if you’ve read those. If not, it works just as well as a standalone. A great read for animal lovers, rescuers-at-heart, and fans of sweet romance."

Remembrancy - Review

"Webb gives readers a story of healing, of finding the courage to live life to the fullest after living through the worst kind of pain, and of the blessings (and yes, sometimes challenges) of living in a community that cares."

“I saw the lights on.” He lifted several cloth shopping bags and his smile, then added, “Grocery delivery.”

Brooke wanted to close the door. His appealing half grin could disarm her if she was someone else. Someone who believed in fairy tales, storybook romance and that once-in-a-lifetime love could happen again. But she couldn’t shut the door. This was Dan, Rick’s son. And her stomach growled. “How much do I owe you?”

“I’m not interested in money.” He handed the bags to her.

EmpowerMoms - Review

"I enjoyed this sweet romance story! I liked the main characters Brooke Ellis, Dan Sawyer, his son and the grandfather. . . . Easy to read, great characters-loved it!"

Hallie Reads - Review

"Though not without its complications, Single Dad to the Rescue is a sweet addition to Webb’s series. Any reader in need of a heartwarming contemporary romance could be delighted with this book—I know I was."

"An emotional journey of life, love and growth! Cari Lynn Webb pulls at our heartstrings time and again with the latest in her City by the Bay Stories series. . . . The story is sweet with a punch of sadness and held my attention throughout. Really enjoyed the richness of the characters and the connection they shared. Highly recommend!"

Splashes of Joy - Review

"Author Cari Lynn Webb does a really good job of weaving all of the past hurts and heartaches in both Brooke and Dan’s lives taking them on a journey that will finally give them the love and life they deserve. I enjoyed the animals, and it made me realize juzy how much fires and other disasters traumatizes the lives of our fur babies. The author does a good job with discussing the pets and their feelings. As well as Dan’s son Ben and his medical issues. The entire book was very well written, and I will look for more books from this author."

"Single Dad to the Rescue is a sweet clean romance read! . . . I felt heartwarming feelings build up throughout this read. Single Dad to the Rescue by Cari Lynn Webb is a romance with life building experiences which we can all relate to in different ways."

"The thing that I loved about this book the most is the feeling of hope through out the book. . . . I love the sense of community and coming together. Dan's precious son is too adorable and I just loved the scenes with him and his friends. This book packed the feels and it's one you can easily get lost in. I'm looking forward to more from this series."

"The attention to detail and the care in which Webb describes the artfulness of healing through compassionate volunteering with rescue animals is part of what endeared me to this story. . . . This is a multi-layered story about the intersection of lives and the curious ways in which the heart leads us forward into a tomorrow that has more hope of promise than the past we're trying to outrun. I loved the way Ms Webb composed this story, how she tucks us so dearly close to her characters and their internal battles; whilst providing us with a firm understanding about life, love, loss and the second chances we must choose to embrace if we hope to aspire towards a future filled with the hopefulness of a renewed sense of purpose."

Evie’s love for the children was more than obvious. Dan’s love for his son would be just as strong. Just as protective. Ben was no doubt the reason for Dan’s white lie. Was Dan’s love only reserved for his son? Love. Where had that come from? She’d fallen in love before. The head-over-heels kind. The once-in-a-lifetime kind. She’d be too greedy to consider a second chance. Brooke reached for that invisible pause button to stop her tumbling thoughts.

A strong hand landed on Brooke’s lower back and settled as if to catch her when she fell. Brooke glanced over her shoulder. Dan stood just behind her, his smile gentle.

"First of all, this is squeaky clean romance with nothing offensive in it. [Moreover], this is a book that can be enjoyed in an evening, by the beach, on vacation…in short, it is a nice, quick read that will provide just the kind of clean romance fans of this genre crave."

"The book is a beautiful story. I especially loved all the dogs and cats in the book — also the little boy. . . . This book was my first one by the author. I enjoyed her writing very much. I definitely will read more of her books. I loved all the characters in the book so much."

"I absolutely love Cari Lynn Webb’s writing style. She is highly talented and definitely an author that is quickly becoming one of my favorites. . . . If you love clean romances, sweet boys and lovable furbabies, then this is a story for you. Webb will quickly work her way into your soul with her work and leave you a fan for life. Great job and hats off to you, Webb! Can’t wait for more."

"The novel was a cozy romantic read with likable characters and not so likable characters. I found Ben to be cute and loveable along with all of Dan's friends. The author weaves the perfect amount of drama to keep readers drawn to the story and not become overwhelmed. Overall, it was the perfect romantic beach read."

Harlie's Book - Excerpt & Review

Ben’s absolute certainty softened Dan. That was all he’d ever wanted to give Ben: a safe home. One without chaos. One with stability and love.

Brooke shifted to look at Dan.

Again, her dark brown gaze pulled him in. Her wide soulful eyes called to him. Made him want to learn everything about her. Made him want…

"Yall, I have to admit that this is the best book in the series. Yes, I’ve read the others but this one has all the feels. . . . I just really connected with everyone in the book. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Webb does next."

"I have read a lot of books in the Harlequin Heartwarming line and while they have all been good, I have to say that this book is one of my favorites. . . . Overall, this truly was a heartwarming read with a wonderful storyline that flowed at a perfect pace. The characters are compelling and for those reasons, I highly recommend, Single Dad to the Rescue."

Pause for Tales - Review

"Ben was cute and a smart kid. The animals added a nice extension for the humans to show their love. I could see just how big Brooke’s heart was. I enjoyed this second chance at love despite life’s circumstances story."

"I really loved this book, it's a really sweet romance and I absolutely loved Brooke's character, what a dynamite lady and the perfect one for Dan! I highly recommend this if you're looking for a nice, clean, sweet romance! . . . I will definitely be reading more from this author!"

"As it should be in any great romance, the two are drawn to each other via a slow burning ember that has the potential to be fanned into a steady flame. It also has the potential to be easily snuffed out. And both of their pasts threaten to do just that."

Bound Beauty

(A Wylder Tale #3)
By Jennifer Silverwood
YA Dark Fantasy
Paperback & ebook
December 21st 2018

Beware the bond between blood and beasts...

Vynasha has united the warring human and forgotten clans of Wylderland, claiming her majik and power as curse breaker. Her brother, Ceddrych keeps their nephew safely hidden away while Vynasha and her new allies fight against the feral beasts roaming their borders.

Meanwhile, her friendship with the Iceveins family deepens, unveiling a love she never expected. But her majik is still bound to the cursed prince she left behind and he isn't done fighting for her soul.

Darker forces walk in the forests, all drawn to Vynasha's light and the shade of a corrupt Enchantress haunts her waking dreams. A war is about to begin, between the forgotten people of Wylderland and the evil power of Bitterhelm.

Prophecy and Forgotten unite in the epic third chapter of the Wylder Tales Series, a gothic re-telling of Beauty and the Beast.

The Wylder Tales Series
Craving Beauty (Vol. 1)
Wolfsbane's Daughter (Vol. 1.5)
Scarred Beauty (Vol. 2)
Bound Beauty (Vol. 3)

Read an excerpt:
No longer did Vynasha mourn thoughts of Whistleande Village and the cabin she built over her family’s ashes. Home had been her nephew’s strained heartbeat against her ears and winter looming like Death over them, whispering, “Give him to me. You cannot hide forever.”
Erythea’s sigh interrupted Vynasha’s darker thoughts. The girl was always chattering about every thought which entered her head. “I’ve never seen spring, did you know?”
Vynasha blinked and for a moment, saw the valley of Whistleande, carpets of fuchsia heather and sage grass.
Thea touched stray branches, infusing blue tendrils of energy into the sleeping buds. “My majik is tied to the earth like Mother’s. It wants to end this winter and let things grow.” She glanced over her shoulder at Vynasha with a crooked smile. “Did you know the last true spring hasn’t come in an age?”
Vynasha pressed her claws into her palms. “Since the curse,” she whispered. Her voice held a rasp she couldn’t shake, ever since the fire. Not even her transformation under the curse could hide what she was before.
Murderer. Monster.
“Are you alright?” Erythea reached back to grab Vynasha’s hand, concern in her gaze. Eyes too old for so young a face.
Vynasha nodded, though her attempted smile fell false.
Thea squeezed Vynasha’s hand. “We practiced too long today. Come, Grandmother’s stew will make it better.” She leaned in until her shoulder brushed Vynasha’s arm and teased, “The twins say the pack should return for the festival soon.”
Vynasha couldn’t help but tense at what her young friend didn’t say.
Baalor.
She hadn’t seen him in three moons, not since she agreed to stay and live with his family and leave her nephew with Ceddrych.
She couldn’t think about Ceddrych, not now as they entered the paths taking them behind painted houses and torchlights. The fires never went out, no matter the cold or lack of fuel. The mirror folk saw to that, Vynasha had learned. There was much more to the relationship between guardian and mirror folk than she had once imagined. And still more they hadn’t explained.
But this was for another night, when the promise of Baalor’s return and Grandmother’s stew weren’t looming before her. Tonight she would not be a curse breaker, and she would not dream dreams and she would learn to be happy.

On Tour with Prism Book Tours

Welcome back! I had a lot of fun with this tour, being able to host it at three of my sites. I did a character interview, an author interview, and I reviewed the book. There's a lot more about this title for you to enjoy, and it's all collected here for you. Plus there's a giveaway at the end!

Launch - Note from the Author

I knew for my twentieth novel I had to write something fun and special. And what is more fun than a fish out of water story? One of my favourite romantic comedies is The Proposal, which is a definite fish out of water. City girl in Alaska. And I also am obsessed with the north and that’s how NY Doc Under the Northern Lights came about...

Dr. Sturlusson didn’t seem the type to leave her high and dry, but perhaps something unavoidable had happened and he hadn’t been able to contact her.

She should’ve told him not to bother picking her up and she should’ve gone with the car-rental plan in the first place.

Betty glanced up at the signs overhead, trying to figure out where to go to rent a car when she saw something move out of the corner of her eye.

She looked over her shoulder and her mouth hung open a little as an over-six-foot Viking of a man came marching toward her. Quickly.

"...a fun twist on an old storyline that has all kinds of unique elements to keep the pages turning. I needed something easy and uplifting the weekend that I read it. And how can you beat spending time together under the famed Northern Lights?"

“Dr. Jacinth?” he asked, almost in disbelief, his voice deep and rumbling.

“Yes. And who might you be?”

“Dr. Sturlusson,” he snapped back in annoyance. “I thought that would be obvious.”

“No, it’s not obvious. I’ve seen Dr. Sturlusson and he’s at least seventy. Are you telling me you’re seventy?”

He rolled his eyes. “You mean my father. I am Dr. Axel Sturlusson, his son.”

Northern Lights—FUN FACTS!!

So, I’m obsessed with the Northern Lights. The first time I saw them I was about 13 years old and even though I knew that the northern lights existed, I still didn’t know what I was looking at when I saw them...

“Fine,” she said. “Lead the way.”

He looked down at her shoes. “You do know this is Iceland in winter?”

“I’m aware.”

“You’re wearing ridiculous heels.”

She glanced down at her boots. “They’re boots.”

“It’s icy outside,” he stated gruffly.

“Oh, I’m surprised to hear that a place called Iceland is icy,” she snapped back. She was too tired to be bandying words about with a gigantic behemoth of a Viking in the middle of the airport.

An Interview with Dr. Axel Sturlusson

I’ve decided to poke and prod the hero of NY Doc Under the Northern Lights with an interview of sorts and he’s agreed, as long as I make it quick and he can get back to work.

*Axel walks in, arms crossed over his deep blue sweater, looking slightly annoyed*...

"The beauty of the novel is how it is a lesson in self-care, in the time we all need to heal and in the joyfulness of the unexpected. Ruttan pulls you into the lives of two surgeons who are each on the footsteps of re-finding themselves after their lives fractured. . . . As you move forward with them, your treated to a beautiful back-story of a family in crisis, a teenager who has a sharp wit and wisdom ahead of her years and the allure of Iceland itself. You won't want to exit this story until you find out what romanced a New York City doctor to become enchanted underneath the Northern Lights!"

E-Romance News - Guest Post

An Interview with Dr. Betty Jacinth.

Betty comes into the room. She’s bubbly and happy. She’s also visibly pregnant.

Thanks for letting me interview you today! I have to say Axel wasn’t amiable as you are...

Harlie's Books - Review

"The romance in the book is a slow burn and very subtle. Both Axel and Betty have battle scars that needed to heal before they could truly be together. . . . You just have to read the book to find out what I’m talking about."

Axel held out his arm, gesturing in the direction to the terminal doors, and she followed him, pulling her suitcase behind her. She was very aware of the sound of her heels against the airport floor, but she wasn’t going to back down to Axel Sturlusson. She hadn’t got where she was as a surgeon by backing down. She’d learned how to stand her ground.

Except when it came to Thomas. She’d let Thomas walk all over her and she hated herself for that.

Colorimetry - Excerpt

And her heart skipped a beat. It was as if those eyes had pierced her very soul. It was unsettling how much the intensity of his gaze affected her.

“I told you those were ridiculous boots. I knew that you were going to slip,” he grumbled as he set her upright.

“I didn’t see the ice,” she said, but she still clung to him.

“Well, you’re going to kill yourself walking around in those.”

What was the inspiration behind this book?

I really wanted to set a book in a different location and I’ve always wanted to go to Iceland. It also gave me an excuse to add my favourite thing to the story, which is the northern lights. I love the northern lights and have been privileged to see them countless times, including one special one where they were right above me and I was standing under them. I also love writing and reading fish out of water stories. It was fun to plop Betty down in the middle of Reykjavik and have to deal with my brooding, alpha hero.

Playlists. I listen to music and I am very thankful for my Apple Music subscription. Every book I listen to a set playlist and I thought I would share some of my favourite songs that were on repeat when I was writing my 20th book NY DOC UNDER THE NORTHERN LIGHTS.

Jorie Loves A Story - Author Interview

1) What initially attracted you to write Medical Romances and what did you hope to focus on as you worked on new stories for the Harlequin imprint as it looks like you've had a lovely career writing for them?

I always wanted to write for Harlequin. I loved category romances and when I was actively pursuing writing for them I noticed that Harlequin Medicals was holding a Fast Track. A way to get your partial in front of an editor instead of waiting in the slush pile. I thought, why not? I love Grey’s Anatomy. I am a super fan of that show. So I thought, I can try my hand at it. I mean, you don’t know unless you try right? I wasn’t expecting much. I set my story in Nunavut (which is a territory in Canada up in the arctic) and I had a request for a revised partial. That turned into a request for a full. I had a few rounds of revisions and then I finally got an email asking for my phone number and when was it a good time to call? The rest was history. I love writing about surgeons. I love their intensity and drive.

Wishful Endings - Excerpt

“Treat you like what? I got you to the vehicle safely. This way you won’t be laid up with a broken ankle during your first month of work in Reykjavik. My father would not be happy if I let harm come to you.” He motioned for her to slide her legs into the foot well so he could shut the door.

Fuming, Betty begrudgingly did as he asked, her eyes tracking him as he climbed into the driver’s side and buckled in. He glanced at her.

Becky on Books - Review

"A sweet romance–this was actually my first medical romance, and it served as a nice intro to the genre! . . . an entertaining read."

The Christmas Book Flood

The Icelandic Christmas tradition of Jolabokaflod is known as the Christmas Book Flood. This is one of the reasons I want to go to Iceland, because they love books as much as I do. I think the idea of exchanging books and spending the rest of the night curled up with that book and a cup of chocolate appeals to the introvert in me.

"NY Doc Under The Northern Lights by Amy Ruttan is fabulous. I loved this sweet romance. Love at first sight between two people..."

She clambered out of bed, jammed her glasses on her face, threw a sweater over her tank top, pulled on her heavy woolen socks and made her way downstairs, bumping into a wall as her eyes adjusted to the daylight.

She cursed under her breath and then peeked through the peephole and groaned when she saw a familiar six-foot Viking standing on her porch, looking just as good and put together as he had yesterday.

What does he want?

"A truly amazing tale, the plot is thick with intrigue and passion and the characters are deeply developed. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet, romantic story to warm your hearts this coming winter season!"

An Interview with Dr. Axel Sturlusson

I’ve decided to poke and prod the hero of NY Doc Under the Northern Lights with an interview of sorts and he’s agreed, as long as I make it quick and he can get back to work.

*Axel walks in, arms crossed over his deep blue sweater, looking slightly annoyed*

What is your name?
Axel Sturlusson. Dr. Axel Sturlusson.
Do you have a nickname and if so, who calls you this?
*sighs* Betty does insist on calling me babe. She is the only one I will allow.
Where were you born?
Reykjavik, Iceland.
What is your occupation?
Trauma surgeon.
Did you enjoy school?
*Smiles* Yes, I did. Very much so.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic?
I was pessimistic for a long time, but Betty is helping me see the bright side of life.
Favourite colour?
Blue.
You're a man of few words.
*He nods*
Do you like to read?
Yes. In Iceland it is tradition on Christmas Eve known as Jolabokaflod or Christmas book flood. I like to read Christmas Eve and give books to my family and friends.
Favourite Book?
Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Rings.
Introverted or Extroverted?
Introverted.
Any smells that you particularly associate with childhood?
*Gives me a strange look* The sea, salt and the fresh crisp coolness of winter. Birch boughs.
Thank you for letting me ask you these completely random questions.
*Nods* You are most welcome.
